About Us
The Network of Women Ministers and Parliamentarians (NeWMaP) is a national platform that promotes gender equality and women’s empowerment through leadership in governance, economic empowerment, anti-gender-based violence campaigns, and capacity-building initiatives in Sierra Leone. NeWMaP is a powerful coalition of female ministers, deputy ministers, and parliamentarians working together to advance women’s rights and implement the Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment Act (2022).
NeWMaP is not just about representation — it’s about transformation. It provides a vital roadmap for ensuring women have equal access to leadership and decision-making spaces. With its new Constitution and Strategic Plan, NeWMaP will play a central role in shaping a more equitable and prosperous Sierra Leone for all.
